What is the first thought that comes to mind when someone mentions the fall of man? It is my guess your first thought is an apple and how the devil tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Have you ever wondered why Eve ate from the apple?
Yehovah says to Adam in Genesis 2:17 that he may eat of any tree in the garden, except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve was not created yet when Yehovah gives this instruction to Adam; she was dependent on Adam to tell her what to do and what not to do.
In Genesis 3:1 the serpent asks Eve a question “did God really say, “you must not eat from any tree in the garden”?” So far the serpent has not done anything except question what God said and so far Adam and Eve have not yet sinned. Questions are not dangerous, how we answer them could be dangerous. Eve trusted Adam, and because she only answered what he had told her, it gave the serpent the upper hand and legal right to tempt them to eat.
This was not Eves fault because she was not created yet http://church.crossofchristlive.one/2018/10/16/why-did-eve-eat-from-the-tree/
