How to pray with faith Mark 11:24

In Mark 11:24 we find a promise often quoted in sermons “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” We all want to be able to ask for something in prayer and be guaranteed we will receive it, and during the recent years of mainstream Christianity, we have seen countless attempts to use this one verse to twist the arm of God into giving us things we dont need, things that would be harmful to us. We have seen preachers telling us we could be driving luxury cars and living in mansions when we only need an excellent regular car and a good solid roof over our head if we just had faith enough. And we have seen preachers accusing people of not having enough faith to be healed, quoting Mark 11:24 as evidence for their lack of faith resulting in people being so disappointed at Yehovah that they have left the faith altogether.
